Can Nguyen, the founder of Pacific 'Ukulele LLC, was born and raised in Vietnam and immigrated to Hawai'i. As an adolescent, Can developed a passion for ‘ukuleles, but as time went on Can eventually forgot about the instrument. After moving to Hawai'i, where 'ukuleles are adored, Can’s passion for the instrument was rekindled and he turned it into a career. In 2007, Pacific Ukulele LLC was established.

Over the years, with the support of the Hawaiian community, Can was able to further expand his knowledge on ‘ukuleles. His ability to work with wood allowed him to experiment and master his craft. Today, Can spends his morning serenading his neighborhood with ‘ukulele tunes and the rest of his day working on his instruments. Can loves to dedicate his time to his passion.

Looking back on these past years of selling ‘ukuleles, Can is excited for the future. He made many great friends and loyal customers, and it has been a joy to meet people from all around the world. After receiving many requests to ship his ‘ukuleles around the world, Can finally took up the opportunity to expand online. He is grateful for the opportunity to bring joy to 'ukulele players everywhere and is excited to see where this journey takes him next.

This is just the beginning. Pacific 'Ukulele goal is to create a character for each instrument we provide. As of now, Can offers finite design patterns, and his mission is to let people build their own distinct instrument online. Our instruments should not only bring you a piece of Hawai’i but also have a piece of you.
